Cavayère Lake

Just 15 minutes from the hotel, Lake Cavayère is an ideal place for family walks and relaxation. Activities for families, children, teens, and adults alike. You'll find a "Carcassonne Plage" beach and picnic areas. In summer, enjoy the pedal boats, the zip line over the lake (acrobatics park), the inflatable water games at the Aquaviva base (jumping boards, slides, ramps, etc.), water skiing, beach volleyball courts, and the forest acrobatic park.

Suggestion from Cathy and Eric: For the more athletic, there's a 5.5km jogging trail that circles the lake. It's possible to swim across the lake (1.7km). Sporting events are organized, such as the Spartan Race and marathon races.

Whitewater sports

Just 25 minutes from the hotel, in the Aude, Pyrénées-Orientales, and Hérault departments, discover the most beautiful natural sites in Occitanie. In Couiza in the Haute Vallée de l'Aude, or about an hour away in Puichéric in the Montagne Noire, enjoy canyoning, kayaking, rafting, hydrospeed, stand-up paddleboarding, caving, climbing, or archery. Perfect for thrill-seekers!

The Gorges of Galamus

Just 1 hour and 40 minutes from Palaja Castle, the Galamus Gorges offer a spectacular landscape with their 500-meter cliffs sculpted by the Agly River. A listed and protected natural site, this magnificent site will surprise you with its unique relief. The waters of the Agly River have carved out these cliffs to a height of 500 meters. Parking at each entrance makes it easy to explore on foot.

Suggestion from Cathy and Eric: Grab your walking shoes and climb to the troglodyte hermitage of Saint-Antoine de Galamus, carved into the rock face.

Ribaute

A 35-minute drive away. In summer, swim in the cool waters of the Orbieu River. Ribaute, a village located 3 minutes from Lagrasse, is also a little paradise for swimming, with its natural terraces carved into the cliffs and clear pools for a peaceful swim surrounded by nature!

Suggestion from Cathy and Eric: Don't jump off the bridge!

The chalet beach in Gruissan

Just an hour from the hotel, discover this iconic beach, made famous by the film "37°2 in the Morning." Its colorful huts on stilts offer a unique setting between the sea and the dunes, ideal for an exotic getaway on the Mediterranean coast.
