An accessible, family-friendly walk around the lake, near Carcassonne. Shaded trails, swimming spots, and unspoiled nature make this an ideal outing for young and old.

Favorite: The Peiras e Vinhas trail connects Palaja to the city of Carcassonne (5 km, 1 hour) through superb panoramas.

Discover: 40 minutes from the hotel, a 6 km artistic hike, combining contemporary art and wild nature, just 10 km from Lagrasse.

Palaja – Ladern-sur-Lauquet Bike Route – 62 km – 3h15 – Elevation Gain +900 m

Starting from Palaja Castle, embark on a gentle, hilly loop through the Corbières. This route takes you to Serviès-en-Val, then Molières-sur-l'Alberte and Ladern-sur-Lauquet, between vineyards, scrubland, and unspoiled landscapes.

Ideal for an accessible sporting outing, this route offers a nice balance between moderate effort and the pleasure of riding on quiet roads.

Palaja – Vignevieille cycling circuit – 93 km – approx. 5 hours – Elevation gain +1260 m

Starting from the Château de Palaja, this grand circuit takes you into the heart of the Corbières region for a total immersion in a landscape of wild terrain and peaceful roads. Head towards Saint-Pierre-des-Champs, then Vignevieille, before reaching Greffeil via superb winding country roads.

This challenging route is for experienced road cyclists looking for a challenge and tranquility. The climbs follow one after another in a preserved setting: garrigue, vineyards, valleys, and open panoramas typical of the Corbières. You will pass through authentic and isolated villages, perfect for a peaceful break.
